I know have all been patiently (or not so patiently) wondering how Ava and family are doing. Thank you again for all your prayers, love and support. I promise I will update on Ava shortly.
I apologize for doing the business stuff first, but I want to make sure everyone is on the same page about logistics.
You may have noticed some blog modifications, mainly the addition of a toolbar across the top. Please check out the different pages. The information in a prior post entitled "Projected Course and How to Help" can now be found on the toolbar under "Ways to Help" which has also been updated, so please check it out if you haven't already. We have been blown away by the generosity of people who don't even know the Lee family.
The section called "Meal/Childcare Info" has information about how/what to do upon arrival when providing meals/childcare at the hospital as well as suggestions/tips about caring for Gwen while at the hospital. At this point, we are focusing on childcare at the hospital only. Childcare may be needed after they return home, but because Ava will not be able to accept visitors, Gwen will need to be cared for elsewhere. I know there are many loving people who will gladly take her in for an afternoon or a day or more, but we also want to be sensitive to the family's need to be together. As a result, we will play it by ear, see how things go, and update the Google doc with childcare needs accordingly. Thank you again for all your support - you have all been amazing.
For those who have signed up to deliver meals to the hospital, please note that the amount of food requested is to feed 1-2 people (not the 4-5 like originally stated). While Mike & Esther are so appreciative of your love, we don't want to burden them with lots of leftovers, especially with daily (and often multiple!) deliveries.
I think that's all for now related to business. On to the updates!
