We are making a special plea for all Asians to join the registry! (Mixed heritage especially welcome!) Ethnicity and race play a factor in finding a good match, so the more that join the registry, the more chances that someone like Ava will find a match!

Important information:

• Donors should be 18-44 yrs old in good health
• There are max weight guidelines (see chart below) for joining the registry. There are no minimum weight guidelines.
• Certain medical conditions preclude you from joining the registry (see chart below and/or Be the Match for more detailed guidelines/explanations).
• Joining the marrow registry means you are agreeing to donate to ANYONE in need, not just Ava. We hope that if you are willing to donate to Ava, you would also be willing to donate to someone else. You can save a life! 

No fasting necessary, only a cheek swab is needed as a sample.

Can't make it in person? If you cannot physically attend a bone marrow drive, you can join online today! Just go to Be the Match and follow the directions to have a kit mailed to you. Be sure to complete the kit and mail it back promptly.
